Troubleshooting Electronics to the Component Level


Course Description
The participant will be able to trouble shoot Electronic Equipment to the component level. Identify which circuit component needs to be replaced or repaired in an electronic circuit. Trouble shooting Solid State Circuits, power supplies, amplifiers and switching circuits. Utilizing Oscilloscopes and multimeters in troubleshooting circuits. Understanding electronic fundamentals and digital circuits and operation of amplifier circuits. ( all items in Attachment B will be covered in this class.).

Course Prerequisites
Troubleshooting Electronics to the Board Level or demonstrated knowledge of the fundamentals of electrical and electronic troubleshooting and repair procedures.

Learning Outcome
Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:
1. Identify which circuit component needs to be replaced or repaired in an electronic circuit;
2. Troubleshoot solid-state circuits, including power supplies, amplifiers and switching circuits;
3. Utilize oscilloscopes and multimeters in troubleshooting circuits; and
4. Understand electronic fundamentals and digital circuits and operation amplifier circuits.

Duration
40 hours

Student Enrollment
To ensure optimum hands-on experience and instructor/trainee interaction, a maximum class size of 12 students is recommended.
